AI layoffs are coming back to haunt companies: 30% may rehire workers by 2029

"When companies start rehiring after AI-driven layoffs, it won't just be a matter of hitting undo on past decisions. Those roles have changed forever," said Sridhar Krishnan, COO, MOAR Advisory.

"People carry years of academic knowledge, deep workspace relationships, and that cannot be rebuilt overnight. If leaders view AI strictly as a tool to cut headcount, they run a massive risk of draining collective wisdom," he added.
